Heavy riffs rumble into Yucca Valley as Dallas trio Temptress joins Warm Uncle and local rockers Hammer of Ozzy for a loud, low-end-forward night at Mojave Gold. Temptress, a stoner rock and heavy psych trio on Blues Funeral Recordings, brings towering riffs, stacked vocal harmonies, and road-tested energy from years of touring the country. Warm Uncle, born in the San Gabriel Valley’s underground DIY scene, leans into noise, desert rock, and heavy post-rock textures, building thick walls of sound and cathartic volume. Hammer of Ozzy, a Hi-Desert band anchored by guitarist/vocalist Lisa Black (The Pandoras, bellylove) alongside Paul Forrester, Patrick Mitchem, and Erin Gurule, rounds out the bill with desert-born originals from their albums “Hot as the Sun” and “Hi Desert.” Hosted in Mojave Gold’s intimate, art-forward room—where craft cocktails, elevated plates, and good sound all share top billing—this 21+ show is a free RSVP event that has already sold out.
